National Tooth Fairy Day

tooth loss in children

My name is Trina the Tooth Fairy. If you don’t know who I am yet, I’m the magical fairy who has been putting goodies under your pillow when your pearly whites fall out.

If your teeth haven’t started falling out yet, don’t worry, I’ll be dropping by soon with prizes for those when they do come out. Now don’t be alarmed.  Hearing that your teeth will soon fall out can sound like a pretty scary thing, but I’m here to tell you it is completely normal and happens to ALL little heroes. Once that tooth is out, you will grow back another one and your smile will be complete. Make sure to take extra special care of your new teeth!

My friends over at Little Heroes can help you to take care of your baby teeth and you’re new ones as they come in.  Our Sidekicks will help you to fight those horrible Sugar Bugs and keep those chompers safe and sound.

Now, when your tooth does fall out, simply place it under your pillow and I will swoop in to leave a nice treat for you as you dream. When you wake up in the morning you’ll have a surprise that will hopefully brighten up your day.

If you happen to misplace your tooth, that’s ok, don’t fret. I’ll still make sure to visit and leave a little something.

I think you should know that I always love it when I find teeth that are shiny and healthy.  Those are always the best.  So I’m going to leave you a couple tips to help brighten your teeth:

  • Brush your teeth for two minutes twice a day.
  • Floss daily.
  • Try to limit the amount of sugary foods. I know they taste oh so delicious, but everything in moderation.
  • Visit your dentist regularly. We’re very good friends and I know that at Little Heroes Pediatric Dentistry they will surely take care of you!

I would also like to take this time and thank you for all your shiny new teeth.  I hold them dear to my heart and every single one was a part of my treasured collection. Thank you for the time and effort you put in caring for them.  That really does mean a lot to me.

In case you’re not too sure, I want you to know that I am highly qualified to do my job. I’ve been leaving gifts for Little Heroes, in exchange for their fallen teeth, for hundreds of years! I’ve been around so long that there has been day dedicated to us. I say us because there would be no me without you!

Yup.

August 22nd is Happy National Tooth Fairy Day!

On this day we will celebrate the healthy teeth we’ve been blessed with and hold this day as a reminder to always take good care of our teeth. Remember to brush and floss daily. And if ever there’s an issue stop by and visit my friends at Little Heroes Dentistry and they’ll do all that they can to make sure your teeth are in tip top shape.

Yours Truly,
Trina the Tooth Fairy
